First, it is a good thing to know a little about what sinuses are. Sinuses are composed of several pairs of hollow spaces located in the face bones, connected to the nose, and lined with mucous membranes. The sinuses are in charge of allowing the air we breathe to flow freely in and out of our nose.

There are however few number of options that can bring instant sinus allergy relief. Drinking a cup of eucalyptus or ginger tea and allowing its steam to enter the nasal passage is the first option. The aroma coming out of eucalyptus and ginger has the property that eliminates the allergens adhering to the sinuses’ walls, therefore clearing the nasal passage, resulting in easier breathing as a natural allergy remedy.

Doing water therapy is another important thing that must be done during a sinus allergy attack. Drinking a lot of water can help to flush the allergens inside the body, replenish the lost fluids due to runny nose and teary eyes, and provide an overall comfort to the body.

  • Taking hot showers or sauna baths and letting its steam to enter the sinus passages is a good way to reduce the swelling and inflammation of the sinuses.
  • Avoid being exposed to extreme temperatures, cigarette smoking, bending the head down, and drinking iced drinks to avoid further sinus allergy effects.

Those allergy remedies can bring instant sinus allergy relief but they are just a temporary solution. To get rid totally of sinus allergy would not be a quick thing to do, for it takes time and effort. First thing to do is to maintain a proper sinus care and follow a nutrition program that is sinus-friendly. Second is to remove the irritants from home or office that triggers the allergy such as mold. The third thing to do is to find the right treatment and medications. Lastly, but certainly not the least is to experience a total body health.

  1. hey,

im from New Delhi India, i have had unberarable allergy since childhood, but i didnt notice it till i was 20. I had acute sinusitis when i was in my teens, but then i consulted a doctor & he prescribed a sinus spray of which i dont remember the name, the good thing was that, my acute sinusitis was gone, there was no more congested nose, but then other allergies surfaced, it happens such that right at the onset of winter, from the fall itself. whenever i “Touch” something cold or below my body temperature, i get severy sneezes and a runny nose for about 3-4 hours after that.
Even if all my body parts are covered & im maintaining a nice body temperature, the moment something as simple as a kiss from someones cold lips can trigger my problem, i have to go through this every morning when i set my feet out of my bed, it lands on a cold set of slippers which again triggers my allergy.
plz inform me about a remedy or atleast inform me about my problem as i dont even know what it is.
    Regards.
